Firelake 315 leak?

I have a Firelake 315 heater and when the burner shuts off, the nozzle leaks out the residual oil in gun slide assembly. I do not believe the solenoid is leaking because the fuel supply holds pressure when the burner is off and the the leak eventually stops. It did not use to do this. I'm not sure what is suppose to keep the residual oil in the gun to begin with.

When the burner shuts off air is suppose to purge the nozzle. That is what that little airbox under the wiring block is for. Do you hear the air purge after it shuts off ?

I hear a little air, I would consider it much.

I assume the heater is mounted level ? When is the last time you did a burner rebuild?

I will double check the levelness of the heater, hadn't thought about it getting out of level.

What all does a burner rebuild entail? I've cleaned the the manifold, but thats about it.

I just wanted to make sure you were not high on the burner end.

The main thing in doing a burner rebuild is cleaning the preheat block. Make it shiny on the inside and I always replace the 3 o-rings each time. The nozzle holder has 2 and 1 for the oil solenoid.

Thanks for the help. I've set the heater with burner end down slightly and that seems to have fixed the issue. After this season I'll do another burner rebuild.
