HI. First time here. I just had a brain storm, or a brain fart and need some help.
I make maple syrup on a homemade wood fired evaporator and was looking for a way to incorporate waste oil into the mix.
The wood fire itself is fairly hot already. With a stack temp of around 1000 degrees.
Could I just use an oil burner to somewhat atomize the oil and pump it into the firebox?
I know the oil burner itself would not ignite the oil, but the fire itself should? Right? Or wrong?
Any help and advice would be great. I should have a lot of wood stocked up by now, but I'm running way behind due to breaking my ankle last month. So I'm hoping to cut down on the amount of wood needed.
