guidence please
« on: March 31, 2013, 06:21:51 pm »
I like the idea/simplicity of the roger sanders set up, but with only an area of 10 x 16 feet in my w/shop would one of those be to much (better insulation in hand), or would it be easy to scale down into a smaller package say a lpg/calour/propane type gas bottle like people make wood burners out of?
I am new to this, but at 47 and worked on the tools most of my working life I have a modderate to fair skill level, a brother who welds and a knowledge of where to get bits and bobs from and how they can work together, what I don't have is a lot of money. any idea's suggestions most appreciated.

many thanks
tony

I've always like this design over the sanders style heater. May be it's because I can see the flame in the secondary heater tube. He has four videos showing how he made his heater and some of the troubles he had during the assemble.

Tony,

Have you deceided on what type of heater your going to build?

A 16' x 10' building should be easy to heat.

I have an empty lpg/gas bottle now so I'm in the process of gathering some bits and pieces and going to do a sanders style drip feed heater, as you say 10 x 16 shouldn't be to hard to heat/keep warm.

Tony,

I ran across this sanders heater today. I didn't know if you had seen it.
