synthetic mix 50/50?
« on: September 15, 2016, 06:29:57 am »
Hello,

I have a Energylogic 200btu heater that came with the barn on my property.  I used it all last year with no issues.  I have been getting more and more synthetic oil from my friends and co-worker.  Energylogic recommends cutting synthetic with 50/50 of either diesel, used trans fluid, or conventional motor oil.  I have a lot of used hydraulic oil from the test machines at work getting changed.  Do you know if my heater will burn OK using a 50/50 mix of the used hydraulic oil and used synthetic motor oil?

Thanks in advance for any info,
jonny

Hydraulic oil will not help. You are going to have to mix it since there is no way to adjust preheat temp on a EnergyLogic.
