Waste Motor Oil / Re: Advice on buying a waste engine oil heater

Have a look at this one for an idea on a drip feed into a bowl. There are 2 pipes to it, so I guess one is oil and the other is air. Should fit inside a log burner

So I guess by pumping air into it you get a hotter flame and more of the fuel can be burnt at once unlike the problem I had before with the bowl just filling up with oil and eventully overflowing and just not hot enough at all. The photo shows it has a big flame to it too. But I dont trust it as though it has been photo shopped! The add has very little description to it and dose not state the address of the seller
Also look at all the photos they show a photo of a "valve". Well that looks lie a 1/4 turn ball vale to me. in other words a 1/4 turn is to fast to regulate a drip fed system unlike a 3-5 turn gate or needle valve
And this one; very very simular indeed!

But this one looks like the oil is not dripped into it; i would say its more like a filler tank hose. But as before zero description and no sellers address
But this one has a little better description

It states the following
Instructions:
2. Open the valve, let the oil flow into the burning furnace to a depth of 1 cm and then close the valve.
So they are saying that it is not a drip feed one you open the vale and let one cm of oil into the bowl. I guess that will not last long ay! But they are asking 173 quid for it!!!
But I guess they are only ever desinged for cooking a pan on and not for over night heating. Hay! I hear in China they burn dried dung on there log burners
