Hello everyone, nice to be posting here.
I'm planning to set up heavy fuel burner to run waste oil.
Waste oil is known to damage the burner heater and the pump, so i intend to use this filter from guiliani anello ( FOEX25 Mod.: 7050103M )

Any advice, ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Hey.
U can never clean the waste oil whit an regular filter like that. U going to Destroy the burner pump.
U need to use an oil separator.
Those filters are made to remove big stuff.

Hey BMU, thanks for reply.
I saw the video for the oil seperator you're using in the other thread. It looks pretty expensive.
I'm going to be running a 25 kg burner ( unlike your 50 kg burner ). So if you have any idea where I can get something smaller, would really appreciate it.

Yea, that one is expensive and hard to find, Bigger ones is easier to find. The one im using is from an old ship.
Here is new ones and not so expensive. I dont know if thay clean as good? But its mutch better than a regular filter.

Hello Sir, thank you again for the reply. These are real interesting sites. If you know any more similar sites, please keep them coming :)
However, the filter I mentioned in my initial post is actually a magnetic filter. Please see below specifications:
TECHNICAL AND OPERATION
FEATURES
This kind of filter is suitable for "wasted oil" filtering, which
is to be used as fuel for burners properly studied for this
particular function.
The particular features of this filter, the high adaptability
and the safe reliability confirmed by several years
experience, allow to fit this filter to all equipments which use
wasted oil.
Made of simple and solid construction, this filter forces the
oil to follow a particular circuit, which we underline the
characteristics of:
1. Filtration made through one strainer filter ; decantation of
eventual water traces.
2. Magnetic filtration through one filter n.1 which allows one
perfect separation of all ferrous impurities conteined in
the oil.
3. Mechanical filtration through one lamellar filter (filter n.2)
which allows the final filtration of all impurities.
The cleaning of this filter is carried out by simply turning
the hand wheel placed outside on the filter, even if the
plant is in function. This characteristic offers economic
and practical advantages. Therefore, one electrical
heater constantly connected with the electronic control of
the temperature, keeps the oil fluid for an easier filtration.
Also, I actually checked with the pump manufacturer and burner manufacturer, and they said it is okay. However, the heating temperature will need to be set at 60°C.
I attached pics of filter specifications.

Okej.
Try it?

No, sir, but I will definitely update you when I do. It'll be at least two months till I get the burner, etc.
However, the centrifuge sites you've posted have really grabbed my interest. I will be getting into that in the future, buying a centrfiuge and working on oil.

Its not easy to burn waste oil. Same as burning heavy fuel oil. It takes a lot of TLC to make it work. But when it works, its great!

To be honest, this is my first time.
Over here, they burn the waste oil straight without filtering, which is good for the traders who are selling the pumps :)
BTW, do you only work on Bentone burners ( GREAT burners very popular here ) or do you also work on other brands like weishaupt, riello, baltur, etc...?
