 Hey Steve, sorry for the oh so late reply Iv not been on here for a few weeks.  There are a few pics at the top of this thread. Its the brass piece screwed into the block. You can google delavan siphon nozzle or hago siphon nozzle to see the other end. It has a stem with o ring on it.

 Getting it together

Well I am a bit confused by your drawing and the pix. The pix look to be a square (rectangle) firebox with the hut type refractory sitting there with its round hole.  The drawing shows the steel casing wrapped around the hut is this the case?
  Can you remove the hut and have a empty square steel box?
If so, extend the box line it with fire brick or plastic refractory and put a big door on it with a 4 1/4'" hole to mount the burner on.

 The big door is a pluss as clean out will need to be done every month or so.

This is why my build is all so very simple made from 10" pipe with flanges, to be easy to clean.

Consider this whan designing the block. Air and oil need to be preheated, then after the burn is done the oil needs to drain back from the nozzle or else it will polymerize from the heat inside the nozzle/block.

  In the typical siphon setup the oil is drawn up(a few inches) from the constant level device by the air exiting the nozzle (venturi effect) . When the air is stopped this same few inches pulls the oil from the nozzle as the feed line drains back into the C/L devece.

  Most well tuned setups keep a slight tilt downhill from nozzle to the C/L to assist in this drainage or the nozzle will require more frequent cleaning of the carmelized/polymerized/baked oil.

 If you plan to overfeed the nozzle (anything over 1gpm) this can still be done by using a 3 way solenoid valve and a catch can for the drain back.

Looks like it should work out ok, These waste oil conversions are often trial and error with the combustion chamber design. #1 and 2 oils have a very low flash point compared to heavy oils. There is a lot a talk at altfuel group about the dreaded wet fire box, were unburned fuel soakes the chamber walls, the fix is what they call a liner or burn tube, this holds the fire and fuel together so it completes combustion. I am having a hard time explaining it~ Anyhow the small start of a square tunnel and the round hole could be beneficial in this respect, holding the heat in the spray of oil.

 Here is a diagram I am about to do. The 10" pipe is built and a tial run had wet walls inside, I will but a tube inside the help finish off combustion.

To convert a gun style system (example~beckett AFG burner) to burn waste oils first obtain a suitable burner. The key issue to conversion is preheat . The burner was designed to run on #1 or #2 oil which has a much thinner viscosity and much lower flash and combustion points than waste oils.

 This can all be overcome with a preheater. There are many ways to do this, I will show the way I like the best, to use a block with a thermocouple and cartridge heater controlled by a pid.
