I've been thinking about building one of those second gen motor-oil shop heaters from Mother Earth, but too many other things to do just yet.
Anyways, just found this site while looking for info on a JLD612 PID controller(for a DIY sous vide project) & decided to join. Maybe if anyone here bugs me enough about it, I might get the heater project rolling? I have about 30 gallons of used oil from a local garage, with water, ATF and tranny oil mixed-in. That's pretty much as far as I got with this...
I'm located in Tahuya, Washington state, in the Pacific Northwest of the United States.

Yea, there's just something about burning free fuel that makes you feel all warm, uh, not necessarily inside, but outside... ha...
Good luck on your project and if you get a chance, snap some pictures and show us how it is going. If you have any questions, ask away.
Good luck!
