Best thing to do is get a hold of the factory.

that was my first try. they want to sell new heaters and have no interrest in helping, which is nice to now because this one is sold as soon as I find a manual or some kind of instruction with correct operation. And I now know not to buy Lanair brand and go with another waste oil heater that will back up their products. I'll keep looking and will eventually get results .Thanks a lot for replying.

Lanair the company has been sold again, You are not the first person to run into this problem, Lanair sells one of the most inexpensive units, but they do that by factory direct sales, No dealer support, and also use inexpensive parts. People out there please check around before buying, get references, in your area, not just anybody's. That way if neccesaary you can stop to see the unit.

Expecting a factory to sell parts for a 30 year old machine is not realistic. Does GM still stock parts for a 30 year old car?
