The waste oil furnace I will be building will use a fuel oil furnace. Safe, reliable, and low mantenence. These are the quailties I'd like out of my wmo burner. I just don't know which nozzle to choose for my set up. I would think not having not to deal with compressed air would be a plus, but if it's the better system I'd go that way.
Any thoughts about the 2 style nozzles and why?

I debated the same thing before my build. The pressure system just seemed so much easier to start with. But then again, I dont burn that many gallons per year. Havent had any trouble with mine. There is some cleaning involved when burning the dirty stuff, but that is probably going to happen with either style. In the long run, siphon may be more reliable, but I didnt want to go through all the steps with the compressed air. The siphon guys can probably list other pros with that type of system.

What I'm shooting for is a furnace in my garage to keep supplies from freezing may be temp between 40 to 50 f and be able to warm the garage up to a comfortable temp when where in there working.
The first fuel jet converstion I saw was a siphon nozzle. Which when I saw it needed compressed air. I didn't like it. Then after studying the system some more I began to like and believed I could build it. And now after studying more information I find a pressure type nozzle that doesn't need a many part. May be I'm over think it.

I've looked at so many pics and posts I can't remember whats what. I do remember looking at your system. Very nice and clean looking. I have a question . Where did you mount your thermocoupler in the nozzle block? Most pic don't show clearly where they've installed the thermocoupler in the nozzle block.

Here is a picture of the block installed, looking from the back. The thermocouple is on the left side. It seems to do a good job in this location.

Thanks again. Hope I don't drive you away with all my little questions. Did find a picture today of a ckBurners nozzle block that showed the thermocoupler install on the left side like yours. It's the little things I want to get straight in my mind before I start my project.
