Title: Lenox furnace Beckett afg conversion
Post by: marvelouzone on November 21, 2016, 11:27:05 pm
I have a lenox furnace, with becket afg, I was wondering whats the cheapest and quickest setup I can do to burn waste oil, just switched to bigger shop, funds are low, and it'd getting cold.. I know a pressure system is the cheapest, what I was wondering is do I still have to change to another nozzle? and my off topic question is it ok to put 90 degree bend in exhaust flue?

Greetings marvelouzone!

Check out my conversion of a Lenox furnace:

I started out with a pressure system myself.  I would really recommend a siphon system if at all possible.  Even with a pressure system you will need to heat the oil somehow.  I'd rather see you spend your time and resources on a siphon system.

And here is the siphon system I am running today:

I have a 90 degree bend in my exhaust and it is working fine.

Good luck in your adventure!
