Title: laniar waste oil burner
Post by: dc on February 02, 2014, 12:26:51 pm
A freind of mine gave me a lanair waste oil motor burner assemblly. do you think I could extend the tube and keep a small
nozzle on it and use it in my furnace like you would like a ck burner kit. Also what I read the air pressure opens the fuel
valve to let the fuel in. Do you think it could be gravity flowed into instead of a pressure pump or not. thanks for any response I might get

It depends on what model of Lanair you have and what you are trying to bolt it on to.
The older Lanair "BB Gun" or CA series burner head are way out dated and some key parts are no longer available.

An HI or FI or MX series burner heads are good ones. I would strongly recommend a fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator.

Remember that you need to be able to clean the combustion chamber you are using. Burning waste oil creates ash.
You will need a chamber about 20 inches long and about 24 inches in diameter to house the flame produced by most burner heads.

Hope some of this helps..

Good luck.
